December Holidays and Events at the Townehouse!

December is an action-packed month, with lots of groups reaching out to us to visit and perform. We will be entertained by numerous caroling groups as well as musicians and youth performers.

Holiday Open House Celebration December 9

You’re Invited! Join us Saturday, December 9 from 5-8 PM for our 4th Annual Holiday Celebration! Enjoy Holiday Boutique Shopping, Strolling Dickens Carolers, Desserts, Wine & Coffee.

Hanukkah

Please join Rabbi Latowicz and Marty Flam for our annual Hanukkah Party on Thursday 14th at 2:30pm.

Residents Holiday Party at the Townehouse

Join our activities team on Wednesday December 13th in the Vista Room at 2pm for our annual holiday party. Our Townehouse singers will be performing a special holiday program, along with music by Steve Ormond. Santa will make a guest appearance with his own chair decked out for those special photos. Don’t forget to wear your creative sweater!

New Year’s Eve Celebration

It’s difficult to believe that we are saying goodbye to 2023 and hello to 2024. It’s a time of reflection of all that has happened during the year, the good times full of joy and laughter as well as the not-so-good times. But we have made it through and look forward to the new year with all its possibilities. What are your memories of the year?

Our New Year’s Eve Party, on Sunday 31st, will start at 7 pm with music by Bob Bishop and Rod Robles. The countdown and ball drop will be at 9 pm.

December Activity Highlights

Pacific View Shopping

Wednesday, December 6 – We will leave the front lobby at 1 pm for an afternoon of shopping at the Pacific View Mall.

Lunch Outing to Wood Ranch

Wednesday, December 20 – Sign up in the Dining Room Lounge. We will meet in the Front Lobby at 11 am.

Scenic drive to see the Holiday Lights

Wednesday, December 20 – Sign up in the Dining Room Lounge. We will meet in the Front Lobby at 6:30 pm.

Thursday, December 21 – Sign up in the Dining Room Lounge. We will meet in the Front Lobby at 6:30 pm.

Also in this month’s resident newsletter, you’ll meet new Townehouse residents John and Babette Thompson, and we have a special spotlight on resident Wendell Morriset. We also share wisdom from resident Don Bowles who becomes a centenarian this month on December 28 – “How to Turn 100 Without Really Trying!”

Our Happy Residents

My grandmother lives at the Ventura Townehouse and I feel confident that she is in good hands. They get her to her appointments and provide any aftercare that she may need. Everyone there is friendly and like family. I feel like I’m at home when I go there to visit her and eat with her in the dining room.

Recently, I visited my Mom from Chicago. Each day I offered to take us out and about in Ventura. We found ourselves having such an enjoyable time at the Townehouse we didn’t leave. The dining room was so lovey to enjoy with her friends. Patios welcoming and the activities kept us busy. We laughed and had fun all day! Thank you everyone for making me feel at home and making my visit special. It’s always hard to leave my mom. But not as hard when I know she is so happy! Until my next visit!

Staff is very helpful and always concerned about my Mother’s needs, the interior and grounds maintenance is exceptional. Dining provides healthy menus to choose from. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Best decision we ever made was bringing my mom here.
