Ann is always seeking to learn more, always trying to see things in new ways, and always ready to experiment with unfamiliar techniques and media. Ann brings a great deal to the world of art. Her enthusiasm and exuberance find their way into every piece she creates, bringing the viewer along on her journey of discovery.
Ann has studied at Ventura College and with some of the finest artists working in California today, learning various approaches to such varied media as oil, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. She is also an accomplished photographer. Her work has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Windsor & Newton Award for Oil and numerous First Place ribbons in exhibitions throughout California.
Her experience in the art world has also included owning her own gallery in the Central California town of Chowchilla, where she boosted the local art community with workshops and imported exhibitions.
Ann’s work can be found in collections throughout the United States, in Amsterdam, and on exhibit at the Circle Gallery and the Vineyard Restaurant in Madera, California. Ann has a collection of art available for viewing this month in the Front Lobby at the Ventura Townehouse.
