July at the Townehouse: Good Times, Great Tunes, and Summer Connections
Here at Ventura Townehouse, July is all about easygoing days, warm evenings, and making the most of coastal living. Whether you’re dancing under the stars at our summer concert, enjoying a lively 4th of July picnic, or mingling with new friends at our open house, there’s always something happening and someone to enjoy it with. From music and movies to meaningful outings and community spirit, July is filled with reasons to smile.
4th of July Family Picnic
We kick off the month with a classic Fourth of July celebration in the Park. Starting at 11:00 AM, residents and guests enjoy live bluegrass from the Orchard Bluegrass Band, plus a mouthwatering BBQ spread featuring ribs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, and more. Face painting, cotton candy, and a bouncy castle add to the fun—don’t forget to wear red, white, and blue!
Summer Concert Series: Summer of Love
Get your groove back! Our free Outdoor Summer Concert Series returns on Saturday, July 12 at 5:30 PM with Summer of Love, a fun-loving throwback band celebrating the music of the 1960s. Expect tasty bites, cool drinks, and a whole lot of dancing. Seating for seniors is available—bring a blanket or lawn chair and join the fun.
Midsummer Mixer Open House
Join us on Friday, July 18 from 2:00–5:00 PM for our open house event featuring live music, refreshments, and tours of our beautiful community. Explore independent and assisted living options, private villas, and our lush 12-acre campus. It’s the perfect chance to discover what life is like at Ventura Townehouse.

Shred It Service
On July 8–9, a secure shredding bin will be available in the Dining Room Lounge for confidential document disposal. Pickup is scheduled for Thursday, July 10. Need help? Call the front desk for assistance.
Welcome, June Greathouse!
Meet June Greathouse, a lifelong Ventura County resident (and proud former Townehouse family member!) who’s embracing her new home and staying active at 94. From piano-playing to hiking Mount Whitney in her earlier years, June brings energy, warmth, and a great sense of humor to our community.
Meet Dr. Elhiani: Onsite Podiatry
We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Albert Elhiani, DPM, to the Townehouse for monthly podiatry visits. He offers state-of-the-art care, including custom orthotics and diagnostic services. Catch him in the Lower-Level Conference Room on Wednesday, July 23 at 7:30 AM.
