June at the Townehouse

Summer is right around the corner! This month at the Ventura Townehouse we have some special events planned, including the return of our very popular Summer Concert Series (weather permitting!).

Get up and Dance! Every Friday at 1:30pm in the Vista Room dance instructor Jackie Ringhoff will demonstrate a few beginning dance moves!

You won’t want to miss our Night at the Movies! We are having a special screening of the 1970s classic disaster film “The Poseiden Adventure” Thursday June 8. We’ll begin serving drinks and hors d’ouevres at 6:30, and the feature presentation will be at 7:00 PM.

On Father’s Day, June 18, we are hosting a special from chef Bryan Gross including beer and a Dixieland Band.

In our latest newsletter, you’ll meet new resident and woodworker William Mesko who grew up in New York and learned the fine art of woodworking from his father.

You’ll also meet our June Employee of the Month, Deserae Navarro, who returned to work at the Townehouse as our Lead Concierge in November 2021 after spending some time in Oceanside to help her sister after the birth of her sister’s new baby.

Our Happy Residents

My grandmother lives at the Ventura Townehouse and I feel confident that she is in good hands. They get her to her appointments and provide any aftercare that she may need. Everyone there is friendly and like family. I feel like I’m at home when I go there to visit her and eat with her in the dining room.

Recently, I visited my Mom from Chicago. Each day I offered to take us out and about in Ventura. We found ourselves having such an enjoyable time at the Townehouse we didn’t leave. The dining room was so lovey to enjoy with her friends. Patios welcoming and the activities kept us busy. We laughed and had fun all day! Thank you everyone for making me feel at home and making my visit special. It’s always hard to leave my mom. But not as hard when I know she is so happy! Until my next visit!

Staff is very helpful and always concerned about my Mother’s needs, the interior and grounds maintenance is exceptional. Dining provides healthy menus to choose from. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Best decision we ever made was bringing my mom here.
