Summer is just around the corner!
As summer approaches and June unfolds, we’re buzzing with excitement at the Ventura Townehouse! Our dynamic Social Activities Director, Nancee Borgnine, and her spirited crew have crafted an enchanting lineup of events and activities. Get ready for a month brimming with live performances, invigorating new exercise classes, and delightful special outings. The summer fun is just beginning!
Summer Solstice Senior Prom – Class of 2024!
We’re kicking off summer with a spectacular Senior Prom you won’t want to miss! Join us at the Ventura Townehouse Thursday June 20 at 6:30 PM for an unforgettable Senior Prom Night, featuring the vibrant sounds of the Blue Moon Boys. Sip on cocktails, indulge in delicious desserts, and dance the night away under the glitter ball and the magic of the summer solstice. We invite you to dress to impress. Ladies will receive a corsage and the gents a boutonnière.
Special Events & Outings
Wednesday, June 5th – Join us for lunch at the Aloha Steakhouse. We will meet at 11 am in the Front Lobby.
Friday, June 7th – Join us for welcoming Shabbat at 4:30 pm in the Front Lobby with Harvey. If you have a special Shabbat song that is close to your heart, we would love to hear from you. Join us!
Saturday, June 8th – We will screen the film “Fiddler on the Roof” at 6:30 PM in the Vista Room.
Sunday, June 9th – We will meet at 2 pm in the front lobby, and then travel to Ventura High School for the Ventura Community Band Concert.
Wednesday, June 12th – Join Rabbi Lotker in the Vista Room at 2:00 pm. The topic will be “Deep Jewish Insights,” from the music of our Fiddler on the Roof screening.
Wednesday, June 19th – Join Nancee and Ed in the Front Lobby at 11:00 am for another fun and adventurous day of Thrift Store Shopping.
Wednesday, June 26th – Join us for a picnic at Rincon Beach.
We will leave the Front Lobby at 11 am.
Also in this month’s newsletter, we celebrate the 100th birthday last month of resident Charlotte Leonard. You’ll meet new residents Dianna Huckins, Will Thompson, and we introduce our new Business Office Director Daniel Adams.
