As the days grow longer and warmer, June brings the first whispers of summer—and with it, a sense of renewal, celebration, and community. Here at Ventura Townehouse, we welcome the month with music-filled evenings, festive outings, and opportunities to honor the special people who have shaped our lives. Whether you’re toasting Dad on Father’s Day, enjoying Broadway classics at our concert, or exploring the coast on a sunny afternoon drive, June is packed with moments to savor together.
An Evening with Renee Hamaty & Friends
Join us Saturday, June 14 at 7:00 PM in the Vista Room for a very special concert featuring pianist Renee Hamaty, Broadway tenor Nick Ehlen, and soprano Anikka Abbott, performing beloved show tunes from Guys and Dolls, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and more.
Cocktails will be served at 6:30 PM in the Penthouse Lobby. Don’t miss this elegant evening of music and camaraderie.
Father’s Day Celebration
We’ll celebrate all the wonderful dads of our community on Sunday, June 15 at 10:30 AM with a performance by Lou Hintz and the Channel Island Harmony Chorus and beer on tap, served by Anne and Kimmi. Be sure to raise a glass before heading into the Dining Room for a special lunch.
Welcome, New Resident Laura Bradford
Help us welcome Laura Bradford, a retired NICU nurse and genetics expert, who has joined our community after relocating from Santa Barbara. Laura loves reading mysteries and is enjoying the vibrant life and library here at the Townehouse.
Celebrating 100 Years: Betty Mason
Betty Mason, born in 1925, is a proud “Rosie the Riveter” and longtime Ventura resident. Now 100, she remains active and social—especially during Happy Hour! Join us in celebrating this remarkable milestone with her.
Spotlight Story: “My Daddy – Ernest Borgnine”
In a heartfelt tribute, Nancee Borgnine shares personal reflections on growing up with her father, Oscar-winning actor Ernest Borgnine. From Hollywood sets to treasured memories, her story is a beautiful reminder of family and legacy.
