May happenings at the Townehouse

We have some very special events planned for our wonderful residents this May. We’re celebrating Mother’s Day weekend with a special Mother’s Day luncheon on Saturday, May, 13th. For details, see our special menu here: Mother’s Day Celebration.

On Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20th, we are planning a special tribute to our residents who have served in the Armed Forces. Music will be provided by the Ventura British Brass. They will play a concert program including a selection of music to acknowledge and salute our military. We’re asking residents who served in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air force, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserve units, to come along in uniform or bring a photo of yourself.

Also in our latest Townehouse newsletter, we pay tribute to our employee of the month Margie Magana, medication technician.
Margie has enjoyed working 30 years as a dedicated caregiver at the Townehouse. Over the years, she has seen many changes and has watched many residents and employees come and go!

We also honor two of our Centenarians, Leon Rosenberg and Ruby Lawton. They have both lived fascinating lives and share their stories this month.

And finally, we unveil the identity of our Easter Bunny, who helped keep everyone entertained during our special Spring Fling celebration last month!

Our Happy Residents

My grandmother lives at the Ventura Townehouse and I feel confident that she is in good hands. They get her to her appointments and provide any aftercare that she may need. Everyone there is friendly and like family. I feel like I’m at home when I go there to visit her and eat with her in the dining room.

Recently, I visited my Mom from Chicago. Each day I offered to take us out and about in Ventura. We found ourselves having such an enjoyable time at the Townehouse we didn’t leave. The dining room was so lovey to enjoy with her friends. Patios welcoming and the activities kept us busy. We laughed and had fun all day! Thank you everyone for making me feel at home and making my visit special. It’s always hard to leave my mom. But not as hard when I know she is so happy! Until my next visit!

Staff is very helpful and always concerned about my Mother’s needs, the interior and grounds maintenance is exceptional. Dining provides healthy menus to choose from. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Best decision we ever made was bringing my mom here.
