A warm welcome to Baerbel Nelles
I was born in Hamburg and raised in Berlin, Germany. I attended college in England and volunteered working as a nanny while at the same time perfecting my English. After years of flight school training, I secured a position as a commercial pilot for Lufthansa Airlines. My first flight was to Hawaii. It was there where I met my husband during a hotel social event for pilots. My husband was a private pilot.
We married and found a home in beautiful Pasadena, We later moved to a lovely home in Orange County just five minutes from the beach. Together we raised two girls.
My husband and I enjoyed spending time flying in our own small aircraft to different Islands in Hawaii. I would take the controls while he took care of the camera. My husband passed away fourteen years ago.
I treasure the memories, and I miss him dearly.
Now I am retired, and the children are grown I am enjoying the next chapter in life. It is of no surprise to me why I feel so happy and comfortable these days. No more daily chores of cooking and cleaning, I feel so happy and comfortable here at the Townehouse. I have met many incredible residents, and I am humbled by their kindness.
