Ventura Townehouse resident Patricia Gilbert

Say hello to Patricia Gilbert!

Decorative green leaf

Patti was born in Chicago and got her bachelor’s degree in art. She is an accomplished artist and enjoys “creating different qualities of art.” She loves to capture the human expression when drawing portraits.

Patti was crowned Miss Chicago. Then at the age of twenty, she decided to do something very different and took up skydiving. Patti spent many years volunteering at UCSB. She also wrote the motto “On land we build with dignity,” a phrase that is inscribed in Latin on the center of the Elk Grove Village flag. Patti was recognized and honored for her 10 years of dedicated service as a member of the DAR-(Daughters of The American Revolution), a lineage-based membership service organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States’ struggle for independence. The non-profit group works toward and promotes education and patriotism.

Patti’s son, Taylor, lives here in Ventura. He worked as a teacher, and currently works as a busy successful realtor. Patti chose to come to the Townehouse for its beautiful location by the ocean and shared that her lesson in life is “always help someone for what they need.” She enjoys “helping people find their own passion and for them to know that they can!” It’s important to laugh and enjoy life. Thank you, Patti, for sharing your words of wisdom, and welcome to the Townehouse!
