Say Hello to Judy Borushok & Rosie!

Judy was born in Finlay, Ohio. She finished school, married and moved to Fresno, California, there she served as a community volunteer and homemaker for many years. Judy began a 20-year career in the healthcare field at a premier hospital in Fresno.  The final seven years she was the director of the hospital foundation and volunteer departments and then retired in 1998.

Her vision loss occurred gradually over the years due to retinitis pigmentosa, with some vision retaining in her right eye. She now has her second guide dog Rosie, whom she dearly loves. In 2010 she was encouraged to join the knitting and crochet group at the Fresno Valley Center for the Blind; while assuring her yes, blind people can do this! She served on the board of directors for six years.

After retiring Judy moved to Ventura to be closer to family. She is looking forward to meeting many new friends!
