My name is RoseMarie Herzig, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Ventura Townehouse community! From the moment I visited, I felt a sense of peace and excitement like I was exactly where I was meant to be. I can’t wait to get settled in, meet new friends, and dive into everything this beautiful place has to offer.
A little about me: I was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, California- the youngest of nine children (yes, nine!). I met the love of my life, Chuck, when I was 27 years old at Dimaggio’s restaurant in North Hollywood. It was love at first sight, and we were married in 1958. We made our home in Simi Valley, raised two wonderful sons, Eric and Steven, and spent 43 happy years together before I was widowed. It’s been 26 years now, and while I still miss him dearly, I carry all those beautiful memories with me.
I worked in HR at Rocketdyne for ten years and loved helping people navigate their careers. After retiring, I found joy in teaching ESL night classes in Simi Valley, helping folks find their voice and confidence in a new language. I’ve also been a proud charter member of Simi Valley Presbyterian Church since the beginning, and my faith has always been a guiding light. Family means the world to me. I have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who keep my heart full, and my phone filled with pictures.
I’m a big sports fan- football, basketball, golf, tennis, baseball- you name it, I’ll watch it and cheer with you! I also love live music, playing cards (my favorite game is 65- ask me about it and I’ll gladly teach you), and making new friends. Thank you for welcoming me into this community. I feel so lucky to be here and can’t wait to meet you all, whether it’s over a card game, at a concert, or just chatting over coffee.
