Patti Tomczak, new Ventura Townehouse activities assistant

Meet Patti Tomczak – New Activity Assistant

Decorative green leaf

My name is Patti Tomczak and I am 70 years young. I was born and raised in California, and I currently reside in Simi Valley. I am the middle child of five sisters, and one brother. I am married to my husband George, who came to California on vacation from Canada in 1971 and never went home. We have been married for 45 years and we have two amazing children and one adorable grandson.

I am a retired executive assistant from the Financial and Mortgage industry and have many years of experience planning corporate and social events. I briefly worked in a retirement community, as an Activity Assistant, where I fell in love with the residents and all the activities.

I have been a crafter all my life since I could hold a crayon in my hand. My grandmother taught me how to sew when I was very young, and I crochet, make jewelry, but currently just love making my own cards and projects and flower arranging.

I love going to the movies, concerts, the theater, and love anything musical. I especially enjoy sharing my talents and experiences with others. Two interesting facts about me, I once threw out the first ball at a Dodger game and I have walked a red carpet with an Oscar winning celebrity.

I am looking forward to hearing what the residents like to do and incorporating their ideas and wishes into their daily lives. There is nothing more enjoyable than meeting new friends and enjoying our fun events together.
