Welcome Barbara Gardner!

I was born in Portland, Oregon, and spent the majority of my childhood there. I went to Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Following college I moved to Washington, DC where I worked for a lobbyist. From there to LA where I had my own public relations firm. My work included having my clients on local radio and TV shows. That’s when I met my husband, an award-winning television writer/producer. After a few years I gave up my PR firm and became a Patient Relations Advocate for Tarzana Medical Center. I remained in that position for seventeen years.

When my husband retired, I decided to join him, and we moved to Palm Desert for some “fun in the sun.” I became involved with the Performing Arts Club and did publicity for their shows.

I have a son who lives in Ventura; my daughter sadly passed away at age forty-six. When my husband passed away in 2021, I decided to move to Ventura to be near my son. When I felt it was time to move onto the next chapter, my first choice was the Ventura Townehouse. I have lived here for a little over a month, and I am enjoying every minute.
