April 2024 Townehouse Newsletter

Posted on: April 2, 2024

At long last April!

As much as the rain was appreciated and needed, we are so very happy to look forward to longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of sunny spring days in Ventura!

In this month’s residents’ newsletter, we feature Townehouse resident, author and artist Karen Wu. Karen will display some of her art and books in the lobby on Thursday, April 11 at 2 PM.

We also take the opportunity this month to celebrate our centenarians: Leon Rosenburg, Ruby Lawton, and Don Bowles.

We have plenty of fun activities planned for April!

April Outings

Wednesday, April 3rd we will travel to the Camarillo Outlets and enjoy lunch at the Cracker Barrel. We will leave the Front Lobby at 11:00 am.

Sunday, April 14th we will attend the Ventura County Community Concert Band. Meet in the Front Lobby at 2:00 pm. Bring your cash and join us for another day trip to the Chumash Casino.

Wednesday, April 17th is our monthly movie outing. We will choose the movie and departure time soon.

Also in this month’s newsletter, you’ll meet Townehouse resident Suzanne Sheridan, and see Carol Pollard’s Fenton Glass Collection.

Our Happy Residents
  • My grandmother lives at the Ventura Townehouse and I feel confident that she is in good hands. They get her to her appointments and provide any aftercare that she may need. Everyone there is friendly and like family. I feel like I’m at home when I go there to visit her and eat with her in the dining room.

  • Recently, I visited my Mom from Chicago. Each day I offered to take us out and about in Ventura. We found ourselves having such an enjoyable time at the Townehouse we didn’t leave. The dining room was so lovey to enjoy with her friends. Patios welcoming and the activities kept us busy. We laughed and had fun all day! Thank you everyone for making me feel at home and making my visit special. It’s always hard to leave my mom. But not as hard when I know she is so happy! Until my next visit!
